CP 00 80–TOBACCO SALES WAREHOUSES COVERAGE FORM ELIGIBILITY

INTRODUCTION

The Insurance Services Office (ISO) CP 00 80–Tobacco Sales Warehouses Coverage Form covers only businesses that store bulk tobacco in their warehouses prior to its final auction or sale.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR COVERAGE

Only tobacco sales warehouses with the property of others in their care, custody, or control or that have a leaf account available for resale are eligible. To be eligible a tobacco sales warehouse must charge tobacco farmers a fee to store their harvested, dried, and cured tobacco crops that are ready for sale.

WHAT PROPERTY IS ELIGIBLE FOR COVERAGE

Leaf, loose, scrap, and stem tobacco ready for auction or resale is covered but only while inside a building or structure listed on the declarations.

COMMERCIAL PACKAGE ELIGIBILITY

Package eligibility information is in the Commercial Package Division of the ISO Commercial Lines Manual. Building or business personal property coverage is required for the package modification to apply. CP 00 80 does not cover either buildings or business personal property. It covers only tobacco in sales warehouses. This means it cannot be used as the property coverage that qualifies for the package modification even though it can be included in a commercial package policy.
